1. Acceptance

By using aurora-forecast.com ("the Site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. No warranty on accuracy

The Site provides scientific forecasts derived from public data feeds operated by NOAA, Open-Meteo, and other primary sources. Geomagnetic storms, cloud cover, and daylight windows are inherently uncertain. The aurora-forecast.com score and the GO / MAYBE / LOW / NO label are estimates. No representation or warranty is made that any particular night will or will not contain visible aurora at a given location. Decisions you make (driving out of a city, booking flights, taking time off work, staying out late in cold weather) are yours alone.

3. No medical, safety, or financial advice

Nothing on this site constitutes safety, medical, or financial advice. Outdoor conditions in winter can be life-threatening. Always check local weather, dress appropriately, and tell someone where you are going.

4. Acceptable use

• No scraping at high rate (more than 1 request per 10 seconds per IP).
• No republishing the score output as a paid product or in a misleading context.
• No attempt to circumvent rate limits or to forge telemetry.
• No unlawful, harmful, or malicious use of any feature.

5. Intellectual property

The site design, code, copy, and the scoring algorithm are © 2026 Aurora Forecast, all rights reserved. The underlying data is © its respective primary source (NOAA public domain; Open-MeteO CC-BY). Method, text, and code are original unless noted.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurora Forecast and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Site, including but not limited to losses from travel decisions, lost photography opportunities, or equipment damage.

7. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.
